Seven members of the Harrison County Council are listed for automatic expulsion on the agenda for the Council’s next Regular Session, set to convene at County Hall either tomorrow or Friday. According to the notice of meeting published September 23rd, Councilors Trickygamersquad1, Je9se, d_eadend38, LordHenryVonHenry, Vinnyvxx, Pizzasecured, and DivineMissile are each listed under a “Notices” item titled “Auto Expulsion.”
The Charter Provision
The expulsions appear to stem from Section 27 of the County Charter, which governs Council attendance. The provision states: “A Councilor who fails to attend sittings of the Council for three consecutive weeks, when they have not received the consent of the Council to do so, shall be automatically expelled from the Council.”

The same section also permits the Council to expel a member for “willful misconduct or other good cause” by a vote of all Councilors less one, separate from the automatic attendance-based process. A person expelled under either process is barred from holding the office of Councilor for one hundred days following their expulsion, per the Charter.
The Charter requires the Council to sit in session at least once every seven days, with an allowance for a single break of up to fourteen days per Council term.
What’s on the Agenda
Beyond the seven expulsion notices, the same agenda includes a consent calendar item approving all previous legislative journals of the 3rd Council, continued consideration of two carried-over bills — CO. 3-10, a Criminal Street Gang Ordinance, and CO. 3-12, a Vehicle Impounding Ordinance granting the Harrison County Transportation Authority power to boot and impound vehicles — and new business on CO. 3-17, a proposed Harrison County Treasury Ordinance that would establish a County Office of the Treasury and set out its regulatory and investigative authority over County finances, funds, revenues, and bonds.
What’s Next
Because the Charter frames attendance-based expulsion as automatic rather than something the Council votes on, the listing of all seven names as “Notices” rather than as an action item is consistent with the provision functioning administratively once the absence threshold is met. Any of the seven Councilors could still be barred from returning to their seat for the standard one-hundred-day period set by the Charter.
