Councilor Trickygamersquad1 announced their resignation from the Harrison County Council on October 9th, in a statement posted to the Council’s official channels.
“I have served as your councilor for the past months with the utmost degree of professionalism and dedication to you. I have made many meaningful changes that have impacted the gameplay and player government,” the statement read. Citing other responsibilities and side projects, Trickygamersquad1 said they had decided to resign “with a positive note and public repute.”
It is time I serve elsewhere.
“I thank every single person who counted on me and trusted me to lead the affairs of the county on the council room,” the statement continued. “It is time I serve elsewhere.”
The resignation creates a vacancy on the seven-member Council. Under Charter Section 14, a vacant Councilor seat is filled by appointment or special election carried out by the Electoral Commission, which sets its own rules for when each process applies.
The Harrison Independent will update this story with details on the vacancy process as they become available.
This is a developing story.
